The Key Worker Group was established in 2020 by Daniel Larner and David Buss after having previously worked and trained together at a different firm where they obtained their CeMAP qualifications (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice.) As well as being directors of KWG, Dan and Dave have over 25 years combined experience as key workers. They built the company with an ethos of “looking after those that look after us” and this attitude is at the heart of all their decision making.
The Key Worker Group is focused on the Key Worker community and shows this by sponsoring planned events and donating to charities that support this community.

You will have a single point of contact throughout our service to guide you through each step of the process so you don’t have to worry.
Using our in-depth knowledge of the unique way key workers are paid we can quickly decipher your payslip to separate pay, regional allowances, benefits and often higher than usual pension payments. Different lenders may interpret these figures in different ways so using our expertise we will target the correct lender to suit your needs and objectives.

Daniel Larner (CeMAP)
Director
Dan leads on the day to day running of the business and is in charge of compliance as well as taking a lead with developing and managing the advisers that work under the KWG umbrella. Dan is a mentor for newly trained advisers and is passionate about their development. Dan specialises in investment (Buy to Let) clients and is also a keen advocate for spreading the word about the importance and need for adequate protection. When he’s not at work Dan likes spending time with his young family and playing golf.
David Buss (CeMAP)
Director
Dave is our sales and marketing guru as well as being a trained and experienced adviser himself. Dave has had a key role in developing the ethos of the company and drives KWG strategy. His strengths lie in his willingness to assist every client to a positive conclusion even in the most difficult of cases. Dave specialises in first time buyers but has all round knowledge across the mortgage and protection portfolio. Dave is an active member at his community rugby and cricket clubs.
